Jon is a career mortgage lender, currently serving as Managing Partner of Hawaii Mortgage Group (formerly Compass Home Loans), which he and his team launched in 2014. Before that he held executive roles at American Savings Bank, where he led their home loans division, and at Countrywide Home Loans. Jon is the only Hawaii mortgage professional to have earned the Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation, the mortgage industry's highest professional designation.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Jon came to UH Manoa in 1989 on an exchange program and never left. He holds a BA in Communication Studies from UNLV and graduated magna cum laude from the Barret Graduate School of Banking.

Jon has been active in the Hawaii community for decades, serving in leadership roles with organizations including YPO, GIFT Foundation, Easter Seals, Hawaii Theatre Center, and Hawaii Nature Center. He has served as President of both Outrigger Canoe Club (2016) and The Pacific Club (2007).

Married to his wife Neige, a Honolulu native, since 1999, they are proud parents of Sydney and Nate. In his free time Jon enjoys golf, pickleball, traveling with family and friends, and beach days. They make their home in the Diamond Head neighborhood.
